Can anyone set up as a letting agent- or are the3re any legal prerequisits? Kind regards Sarh.

Dreaming is a pointless exercise if it only serves to reinforce your own limitations.For my familys sake I no longer dream, I will plan and I will try and if I fail I will try and try again.
Failing is far better than dreaming.

A similar response from me: even if anyone CAN set up as a lettings agent, the question for you is surely "how easy is it to make money as a lettings agent?" To which I'd say probably harder than you think ... given that there is plenty of competition out there, you have to attract landlords, and tenants.
