There was this one started by the MSE team last year but it's not very extensive. You're not thinking of the Disneyland Paris one maybe? That's been around for ages & is pretty long.
Really think there should be a proper one - questions about Paris seem to come up all the time on here & it can be pretty expensive so MSE tips would be useful!0 -
We went last year so, hopefully, information is still valid.
There are several Tesco Clubcard deals available.
We took the river cruise and the Montparnasse tower - both recommended.0 -
Hello
Thanks hartcjhart, I'm working my way through that site, its very extensive!
Thanks Vikki_74 - Agree that a Paris guide would be a great addition to MSE, thanks for the link though, I've got some really good tips from.
Thanks also zenmaster - I'm not really a collector of the CC points but I called them and I have 250 points
Guessing this is not enoigh for a tour! Do you think it would be worth me trying to build these up in the next four weeks or buying some on ebay even?
I have a rough plan, we dont have much time the first day so I've already planned to a free walking tour which starts near to our apartment and on the 3rd day we're doing disney, 4th day is mainly departure so I only really have the first evening and the full second day to plan.
I have some questions too if anyone can help?
As we're a group of six we will be mostly walking but I've worked out we need to make at least 3 metro trips. One from where we're parking on the peripherique (spelling?) to the apartment in the 18th A. One to reach the centre on day 2 for sightseeing and again for Disney. Whats the cheapest way to do this?
Has anyone used bike hire in paris? I've read about velib but it needs a 200e euro deposit which I can't really strectch to for six but I think bikes could be really good for us.
Has anyone tried the 'free' walks I've mentioned for our 1st night? From what I've read the suggested tip is 10e PP but I'm hoping we can get away with less as we're a big family! any tips appreciated
Does anyone of ideas of things to do in the evening with young adults/teens - they seem to think we'll be languishing around in really cool jazz bars
Im sure it wont be that easy but if I can come up with something I can manage thier expectations. One of the 'free' tours is a guided night time river seine walk so I think I will plan that in if we can get away without feeling too ashamed on the first walk!
If anyone is interested I've discovered that youngsters entry to le Louvre is free for 16-26 year olds if they take ID so we will be doing that one. I've noticed that the catacombs also has quite reasonable admisson fee's 8e for adults 4e for under 26 with ID.
Maybe this will turn into a Paris guide?
All tips and advice gratefully received
Merci!0
