Mrs Phatbear has finaly snapped and told me if i dont get our no longer functiongin hall light done by tonight there will be no phatbear loving this weekend.
Our house is pants and everytime I change something its not to spec but this one has thrown me, and ive blown the lighting fuse twice already.
When I removed the old ceiling pendant there were two red wires bound together two black wires and a fat green wire.
The wiring diagram for the new light is below:

The light by the way can also be turned on from 2 different switches if that makes any diff.
Please help
thanks for now

No nookie then for phatbear this weekend, because if you don't understand the simple wiring information supplied, the following definitely applies to you:
IF IN ANY DOUBT ABOUT WIRING CONSULT AN ELECTRICIAN
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Please switch the circuit off or take the correct fuse out of the consumer unit before touching it. You are going to go bang if you are not careful.0

Last time I consulted an electrician it cost me £75 for him to wire my new cooker in, which took all of 10mins.
And thank you for your concern lorian but I have been unplugging the fuse out of the consumer board to ensure I dont end up like leo sayer.
Anyway Im sure you'll be pleased to know that there will be nookie for the bear this weekend cos after blowing the fuse another 4 times ive got it sorted.
All the best
