Best car insurance for cancellations/changing details?

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to all of this so please don't bite! I bought my first car last year and had a 10 month insurance policy with Diamond. It is due to expire in July.

I am now looking for the best deal, but I need to bare two important things in mind

a) I will be moving from the area I live in now to a more expensive (in terms of car insurance) area at the beginning of august, so will need to change my policy very soon after starting it so need a company that won't charge over the odds when I change my details.

b) Soon after I move I will be selling my car as I won't need it, so need a company that won't make it difficult for me to cancel (or even don't charge).

I guess i'm just asking for people's experiences of which firms they've found helpful with regards to the above? I know diamond charge the whole years fees for cancelling a policy, which obviously wouldn't work for me.

I would appreciate any advice that people have!

Thanks in advance
