Suggestions for battery charger

I need a charger to do four AA batteries and would be grateful for suggestions. I would like something compact that is an all in one unit that plugs in the socket. I say this as I had one with long cable to transformer type of bit then onto the wall plug. Wires everywhere.

something like this? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lloytron-Battery-Charger-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B003VT70RI/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1340195187&sr=8-15At times any combination of my spelling, grammar or punctuation may be incorrect. Please do not pick me up for this as, after all, it is only an internet forum.0

I've had one like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fast-Battery-Charger-AAA-Travel/dp/B002C7ZL3U/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1340195930&sr=1-2 for a few years - handy if you do Spain/Greece, USA (has flip-out prongs for US) etc as well as charging at home.
Can't remember the price or supplier, but mine is branded GP Powerbank (guessing it's a generic one which is branded by many).0 -
Try to get an 'intelligent' charger, otherwise you won't get so many cycles from your batteries. The one I use came from the USA and is excellent but the same chargers sold here are overpriced..
This looks like a reasonable alternative for a sensible price
