Easyjet online Check in Gatwick North

Flying to Tenerife at 7.40am on Friday this week and will be at Gatwick North for around 4.30am (always extra specially early!). I know check in usually opens 2hrs before but last time we went to Malaga it was actually open in advance of that.
We are taking hold luggage and wonder whether its worth checking in on line and going to the bag drop? Never checked in on line before so no idea where to go etc, anyone any recent experience of checking in on line and dropping off bags or is it just as easy to queue and check in normally?

One of the desks in the check-in should be reserved for dropping off bags only. If you check in online in advance you may benefit from a shorter, and faster moving, queue.0

If your flight departs before 8.30am you can check-in anytime after 8pm the previous daywith easyJet at Gatwick.0
