To Do List - Before Exchange

Please point me to another thread if already addressed elsewhere! I'm looking for a list of thing 'to do before exchange', e.g. ensure that buildings insurance has been arranged - does anyone know of one please?

The mortgage valuation has been done and the offer sorted (sent to us and our solicitors), we've had a HB Report carried out... our searches have been ordered and today we've received our contracts pack and mortgage information & deed. So hopefully I'll be back in the not to distant future asking for a 'to do list' of things applicable between exchange and completion (but would rather compile that list as and when it's needed... one thing at a time!)
You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back

Check things in the property work, like the heating, hot water (if not might be looking at a new boiler) electric switches etc.

... Only a thought, I'm hoping to exchange soon and would also like to see a list of 'to do's.

One thing I have done is sorted out critical illness and life cover ready for when/if completion happens.

Have no idea about utilities etc - hoping the EA's will advise me or your thread here.
