Hi all,
We have just got back from our first family holiday abroad which we loved: all-inclusive, sunny(!) and very relaxing.
We now want to take the kids skiing but it's a while since we went and having the kids changes everything!
They are 9 and 10. We don't mind taking them out of school for one week to experience this.
We think we need:
Any advise or suggestions?
--- Alistair.

We think we need:
- short transfer
- hotel / chalet near to the lifts and nursery slopes
- 1/2 board
- Skii hire & lift passes (obviously)
- Tuition for the kids each morning (not full day)
- Possibly a bit of refresher tuition for us.
Any advise or suggestions?
--- Alistair.

Morning, Soldeau in Andorra, absolutely fantastic. Great for Kids, excellent skiing and best of all it's a little cheaper than every where else as it is Tax free. We stayed there as a large group all of mixed children/teenager ages it catered for everyone, when we get chance we are definitely returning. We stayed at the Hort de popaire self catering apartments, they were bang on for location, price and most importantly very clean. The ONLY downside is, it is a 3 hr transfer from Toulous, but they stop half way for the usual things you do! And the scenery is breathtaking.Hope this helps0

Hi,
Take a look on Esprit holidays, they are a family orientated holiday company and are fab for kids skiing holidays. They offer several resorts in France, Italy and Switzerland.
They run catered chalets so breakfast, afternoon tea and an evening meal are included in the price. The children are collected every morning from the chalet and escorted to their lessons, an Esprit snow ranger skis with the kids during their lessons so theres never any trouble with understanding the instructor. You can choose half or full day lessons. At teatime an Esprit nanny joins the children and sits with them whilst they eat which gives parents abit of downtime.
The adults eat later at 7.30pm onwards which consists of an apperitif, canapes, 3 course meal with wine, children aren't allowed to join the adults at dinner so Esprit run a kids club which lasts until 10pm or if the kids have had a hard days ski-ing they may just want to go to bed. In the larger chalet hotels Esprit run a baby/child listening service from early evening.
They offer different size chalets, anything from 6 guests upto 60 guests and we prefer the smaller chalets for about 12 people.
We waited to get a late deal this year and went the last week in February and the price for all 4 of us including flights was £1650, by the time we added lift passes, equipment hire and lessons on it cost us £2500.
If you have the nerve to wait you can get a good deal.
