Redundancy and self employment

I am currently lucky enough to be employed full-time and have recently started a small business at the same time a few months ago. Potentially next financial year I may be made redundant from my full-time job, this is my bread and butter that pays my bills, my self employment is running at a loss and by this time will probably still not have come into profit as the hours I do self employed are few.
What is my position as regards benefits after I am made redundant or will I not be entitled to anything as I will potentially still making a loss in the business?
I can't seem to find anything out about this online.

depends on a few things , do you have kids , a lone parent , a hubby or a wife that works ??0 -
A similar thing happened to me, so not sure if the DWP will treat it in the same way as it was a few years ago.
However so long as you work less than 16 hours per week on the self employed(SE) job you still should get the benefits you are entitled to less the NET earnings in the SE job (i.e. earnings less expenses) usually over a month period. They may ask for 2 weeks figures to start with but go onto monthly once you've signed on a few times. You can earn the first £10 per week I think before they deduct anything.0
