Just spotted on their website thanks to thier newsletter. Just buy a pint (or something) and ask for a WiFi voucher. Gives you 30 mins free WiFi internet access while in the pub.

Some Wetherspoons do leave a lot to be desired
Offer also applies to Lloyds No1 bars.0 -

I was surprised to find almost every pub in a five mile radius of home had a hotspot. Who's for a Wi-Fi pub crawl?0 -

The internet access is provided by 'The Cloud' network and they allow access by other providers too i.e. 02, BT Openzone, Skype amongst others. http://www.thecloud.net/
You get a small credit card sized blue scratch-card, which has the username/password. However, the 30min voucher is free and it does not hurt to ask for it, everytime you visit a JDW pub/bar - and it is even cheaper with a cup of coffee at 99p!
Although, when you do ask for the voucher - most bar staff will give you a blank stare, as the service is not advertised widely. The places that do offer this free voucher will have some leaflets around the condiments area or wherever they place their flyers/leaflets. Some pubs have also stopped doing the vouchers - where the service has got little bit popular. I suppose they still want people to come in, have a drink, and get lost!
Personally, half an hour is just not enough, as there is only so much you can drink - but I have a few unused cards in case of urgent access to email etc.0 -
If it sounds too good to be true...
My local Wetherspoons, has never had any vouchers to give away, although I've been told they "ran out", though laptop usage there is very rare. Despite emails to head office, I've never had a proper reply, just it is "subject to availability"0 -
i have a nintendo ds lite and according to the website u can get free wifi in certain places in uk and other places like italy, usa and canada.
