I was made redundant early last year. I could have stayed in the same sector I'd worked in for the last 15 yrs, but decided to do a complete change of role/sector and although I now earn over £12K less than I used to (that's £22K from £34K) I couldn't be happier with my decision. I am working fewer hours, doing more in my free time, and my job has far more variety than my old one.
