I left my company a year ago and have a certificate from morgan stanley on share plan dividend reinvestment scheme, as I used to get shares on my salary.
Other then knowing the price per share and the trend, I have no idea what my options are in terms of cashing in for shares, or reinvesting?
Please advice, I'm a newbie on this

I think you need to give more info. There are various share schemes for employees and the rules of these schemes will differ. Some (possibly all) will have rules applying to people leaving the company. There may be a need to hold the shares for a specified period to avoid tax clawback.
So:
Which company's shares do you have?
What is Morgan Stanley's role here?0
