I've had a LiteOn DVD Recorder 5006 model for a year or so now. Have had no real problems with it, although it is fussy about the DVD recordable disks you use with it (but arent they all). A friend had a DVD he wanted to play last night which was region protected, all we have do was enter a code on the remote and voila it was region free.

I should mention that the previous 5005 model we had only lasted a year before it refused to read anything, so could be hit and miss. But LiteOn have been making DVD Recorders now for years, so they should be reliable.

Bought one of these last weekend off SVP delivered Wednesday.
Came in a retail box ,just as new.
    It looked brand new too.
Set it up last night and so far so good,it does everything I asked for.
    So far so good.
