Why not phone your vet/some local vets to ask? It will vary from vet to vet, and your location will play a role in costs too0

Hi we have just recently had this problem with one of our gerbils. We noticed he was bleeding and it turned out he had a large tumour and was advised we could either have him operated on which for a 4yr old could have killed him or had him put to sleep, we chose to give him a chance. The vet was brilliant, he removed it and gave him antibiotics and pain killers. In total it cost us about £30 and that included the follow up. It was well worth it as he is still going strong 6 months later.0
