suspended account, beware the silent ebay!!

Options
hi all

forgive me if i rant a little on this one, flaming just isnt strong enough for how im feeling :-)

i had my account suspended by ebay a month ago, your guess is as good as mine as to why, apparently they wont tell you why they suspend your account with your details in them.

anyway iv bent over backwards doing everything they've asked me to do, emailing photocopied documents, posting photocopied documents and answering every question they have fired at me. my reward it seems is that after five attempts of contact on my part i'm still having to chase them up just to see if they have got them, let alone dealt with them.

iv dealt with some awful customer service before but nothing even comes close to this, it might not be so bad if I hadn't had my account running with them for years, iv built up quite a lot of feedback and have always paid my account fees on time!.

i think that may be rant over for now :-) thanks for taking the time to read and any suggestions or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Try amazon instead? Seems like you're bending over backwards to accommodate their haphazard processes for no real gain. Do you need them that much?

They seem to suspend accounts willy nilly. mine was suspended a year or 2 ago just before christmas. think it took about a month for them to unblock it. was given no explanation as to why they felt the need to suspend it. i sell the odd one of two things every now and again and mostly only buy. had no money in my account....

i have read stories of people never being able to get their account unblocked.

Do not even bother with it, and certainly don't bend over backwards to acommodate them.

very very strange!, woke up today to find a how to contact eBay email, in German (no idea why) and that my account is back up and running again. no explanation as to why, no apology for the inconvenience.

have to say iv never dealt with any company like them, will defiantly be wary of them from now on!.

Are you talking about ebay or paypal? The op is talking about ebay. Ebay do not keep any money so it sounds like you had problems with paypal.
