I am getting a new laptop soon and I want to know how I can move Photoshop to it. I bought it ages ago so now I don't have the disk anymore. It's also downloadable only once so should I contact someone on the website on how to go about it? Any advice?

If you are still able to download it, do so and make a copy of the download to CDR so you can re-install it in future0
-
I don't know how to download it without the disk, can you do that? If I can, how do I copy the download? I have an external source to keep it on0
-
Are you able to download it from a website, like when you purchase a disc and a back up download.
Or by download, do you mean install?
What is the exact version of photoshop?0 -
It was installed via a disk that I no longer have. It is CS5 and I bought it a while ago0

Have you got an Adobe ID and password
The following steps will help locate your software for download:- Go to Adobe.com.
- Click Sign In (in the upper right corner).
- Enter your Adobe ID and password, and then click Sign In.
- Click My Orders and then Order History.
- Locate the order number, and click the Download link in the Downloads column.
Start the download by choosing one of the following:- Click Download and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Click Akamai Download Manager and follow the onscreen instructions.
- If you prefer downloading directly in a browser, click Alternate Download Method. Then click the .7z and .exe files (Windows) or the .dmg file (Mac OS) to download the software to your computer.
If you can download it from there, you may as well wait until you have the machine you want it on
If not, do you have the serial number from the installed version, maybe by clicking help then about0 -
Sorry, haven't been able to get back on here for ages. My problem is that it shows that I've bought nothing from them. I purchased it off an employment company but I did have to sign in through them so I could use the code to download it off the the CD. I found the serial number and I will see if I can download it again when I get my new laptop. If not, I'll phone them up. Thank you for your help0

Gimp........................Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

As OP is used to Photoshop, try GimPhoto free but more Photoshop and easier learning curve for those used to Photoshop

As you say you have the licence key, can you borow a copy and install from that, then validate with your key?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
-
As you have the key, I would have thought Adobe will give you a link to download it
Or
Scroll down for the CS5 link, two files
