Hi - Situation is I have had my property on with sole agents around 2 months now and not impressed with them and just fancy a relaunch with a new agent. My contract with them has also expired.
Ive never sold before or faced this situation so is it a question of calling them and letting them know Im going to try a new agent and they then say fine and if so do they then bill me for the work they have so far done?, In my mind I would imagine this to be a few hundred pounds??
Anyone been in this situation and if so can you tell me the amount your old agent charged you for leaving them?, thanks

if your contract is similar to mine, if the contract has expired there shouldn't be any charge.0 -
Usually no, but check your contract.
Certainly don't make any offers or suggestions to foot any bills - unless you signed up for 'extras' which have yet to be paid for.
Get a list of those who've viewed your property (or ensure they pass one on to the new agents). If someone views who's viewed before, the old EA will probably be claiming fees.

mine want ten days notice in writing as well, after the contract has expired, so check small print, I am counting the weeks off the calender so I can get shut of them and change.0
