Hi,
if you're not sorted yet, what about nail varnish remover/wipes, steal a drop from the missus.0 -
And to think I used to go through a 25l drum of Isopropyl Alcohol daily in my printing press at work (it was a 6 colour B1 sized monster mind - size of an artic). Knew I should've chucked one of those 25l drums in the boot!0

I'm not sure but does nail varnish remover contain something like acetone which is a solvent? And don't solvents damage some plastics?
I personally would not use nail varnish remover - stick with surgical spirit or meths.Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0 -

You can use alcohol but there's no need to go to any bother. If you can't get any, use Mr Sheen ( it has to be the Antistatic one) furniture polish.
I used to use it on the PCB assemblies I serviced years ago when they would come in for repair covered in sand (theme park/seaside funfair stuff)
Some circuit boards (as long as they haven't got open pots/buzzers) can even go into the dishwasher, use the drying cycle after :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
