I'm just about to pack the car and will brave it tomorrow. The forecast here is rain at 6am but clear after that. I've got so much stuff piled up in my bedroom I can't bear to wait another week.

I daren't think of a target income, I most of what I'm selling is clothes and unfortunately I didn't manage to find a clothing rail to display it on.

    Good luck everyone,

    Hiya
Hope all the car booters are doing well. It's pouring down here but the sun is shining so maybe it'll improve. Let us know how you all did. xx

hiya teecee, how did you get on?

We got absolutely soaked and hailed on for the first half hour - then it brightened up and was dry until just before packing up time.

I made £44.09 after costs (including several rounds of coffees and chips bought by my greedy daughter) while my daughter made £16. Some of that was from me buying things back off her that I'd bought her in the first place! Grrrr.

I'm definitely going to do it again soon, but will get hold of a clothing rail first, as I hardly sold any clothes and I think it was because they looked too jumble-saley in boxes on the ground.

I didn't sell many books either, which surprised me.

Hi, how did you all do today? DH went to a boot sale early this morning, and said it was dead where he was.

Seaxwyn-Are they paperbacks? I've always found them hard to sell too, even when I'[ve knocked them down to 10p each.

    HI Spendless

I'm disappointed about the books. I had hoped would-be Amazon sellers would snap them up!

They were mostly paperbacks while the few I did sell were all hardbacks. It's annoying as the books got wet in the rain while we were packing up so I don't think I can relist them on Amazon now.

    Well done teecee!

Just being nosy, what kinds of things did you sell?

Although I didn't make a huge amount of money, I'm chuffed to have cleared a bit of space. I can see the bedroom carpet for the first time in months!

Had alot of clothes adult and kids stuff and general nik-naks, my mum had put in ornaments and kitchen stuff, didn't have any books though as I took books last time I did a carboot and like you ended up lugging them back home.

Still anything is better than nothing!!
Well done at least you've got part of your bedroom back.
