how much extra for end rather than mid terrace?

All other things being equal I would appreciate advise as to how much extra people would pay to be in an end terrace rather than a mid terrace house. we have viewed two houses in the same row of terraces which are pretty much on the same standard internally but the one that is the end terrace is 20k more than the mid terrace, this seems to me to be a high premium to pay but then i am pretty much a novice at this so appreciate anyone's thoughts thanks

I would say the difference between a Detached and Semi is about 10k.. Others might disagree.0

It depends. How much extra garden does it have at the side? Does being an end terrace mean it has off road parking or space to build an extention?
I personally would be willing to pay about 5% extra for an end terrace than a mid terrace, more if it has potential to extend or build a garage. (For a detached over a semi I think I'd pay 10-15% extra - Just so there is no chance of hearing the neighbours banging around next door.)0 -
You say "All things being equal"
If everything else is the same, then the only difference I can think of is only having noise from one set of neighbours, but higher heating bills.
It depends how much this is worth to you. It depends on the house price ultimately, 20k is a lot if the house is 80k, but relatively little on a house costing 600k.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
Im not sure about 20K, but i think I would pay 10K more for an end of terrace. However, that is only if it has side access to the garden.
If you live in a mid terrace then things like the law mower and rubbish bags have to go through the house. Also if you do any work to your garden ie patio or decking then you need to take all of the materials through the house aswell. That is why I would pay more for an end terrace. *assuming there is no rear access to the garden*

10k in terms of % could vary, but given property prices I would say 15% would be more realistic.
I went from a semi to a detached - and its so worth it in terms of noise (I love music and can crank the volume up when I wish).
Each to their own I guess.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
In my road an eot only fetches between £5-£10k more than the terraced houses. Average marketing price of terraced is currently £265.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
