How has Comping Helped You?

I love comping especially when something unexpected turns up. I have been lucky enough to win an Xbox/Kinect and recently an Ipad2 which would have taken me ages to save for and these are wins that all the family can share. I love sharing out my wins and making others happy

Have just paddled along with comping for a few years & just won a few things here and there. Last year around September time I realised due to my finances I had no chance of getting any Christmas prezzys for anyone. Upped my comping and managed to win, nothing huge, but a little something for everyone.
I have never won anything mega but am so grateful for everything I win.
I am so grateful to all the posters who take the time to post all the comps and answers but am saddened by the the amount of aggro that now seems to appear on a seemingly regular basis!

For me, it's very different to some of the other answers.
I initially started comping to rein in spending money, I won after a couple of entries and was ecstatic. Now I wasn't ecstatic at the fact I won some lovely jewellery, but at the prospect of luck and chance was open. It gave me a sense of hope and I realised that it could in fact be me winning that amazing prize that could be life changing.
It's that drive that prompted me to do a university degree and a choice I have never regretted. I have won some great experences like a break in wales which we enjoyed so much, our first family break and ever since we have had a break away each year which to me is quality time we enjoy so much. We had a meal to a restaurant of ou choice, we chose a fancy little place in the city and it was paid for, with limo and I was given a set of GHDs, a bottle of Moet and a camera beforehand. Not forgetting the Magnum of champagne we drunk on the way (whoops!) but it was a night we would never had booked for ourselves and it's inspired us to do more things we wouldn't initially have done otherwise.
We have won things like netbooks, a smartphone, a fridge freezer etc but really in comparison i feel they pale slightly.Comping wishlist for 2017

It's helped me by being a great distraction, my husband left for his latest deployment last week and lucky enough I happened to find this site a couple of days before.
Hoping with everything he returns home safely
I started comping completely out of boredom when work was very slow at the companies lowest point. I've been very lucky and won a life changing amount of money (all gone now!
) and lots of 'little' things which I've shared with friends and family. I don't expect to win big again, but like others have said the thought of maybe winning something kind of squashes my need to shop, and getting little treats through the post stops it too. We're on a low income now, my Boyfriend's between jobs, and it helps keep the blues away! 0
