Sorry if this is the wrong place, but i was just wondering how has Comping helped you? any life changing wins or wins where it wouldnt have happened without winning it.
Personally Comping has helped me out when struggling threw bad times, the distraction has helped many times and i would never have been able to afford an iPhone or Goodwood festival of speed tickets.
Comping for me is more than a hobby its in some way a life line.

It helps me when I'm bored - the prospect of possibly winning something makes me feel like I'm being productive when I have nothing else to do. I do enjoy it. But no big wins yet, so we'll wait and see!Feb wins: Angry Birds mug, £250 Perfume Shop bundle

It's helped in the way I have won things I couldn't afford to buy, on the negative side it takes up a lot of time and not that much return. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
It has given me a great hobby and I love going to facebook seeing wins and chatting with people, ifs a fab feeling when you win. I havent won anything life changing but love it when I win tickets for things I couldnt afford and for exclusive events.
Downside it gets a bit addictive. And when you havent won for ages I feel a bit grumpy.

It's helped me by being a great distraction, my husband left for his latest deployment last week and lucky enough I happened to find this site a couple of days before.
I am still trying to find my way around as I'm not great with computers but I love reading about other peoples wins and it's nice wondering if I will win something one day too. But most of all it's a great way to keep your mind occupied and to stop it wandering.0 -

Have a look a photo thread, that's really good I think. Try and win things for him that you can send him while he's out there... I'm sure it will put a big smile on both of your faces
Good luck :T x0 -
I've had a couple of good holidays to Hawaii & Florida that I would never have had otherwise. Only this morning when looking through my make-up bag I was thinking (other than the eyelash curlers) I have won everything in there - not cheap stuff either, it's the best! Most of the stuff in my bathroom like shampoo .... I've won, whether it's a sample or full size freebies. I've won loads of stuff for other people & given it away as gifts so that's saved a bomb on both birthday & Christmas presents. Everything's helped me to have a better standard of living, I've had stuff that I wouldn't normally have had as I wouldn't pay those prices or have been able to afford it. God I'm so glad to have found this site, I absolutely love it, it's my life!0

I don't think I've been comping long enough for any really life changing experiences yet but I think it is starting to change my outlook on life a little. I am prone to depression and although things haven't been too bad for me recently, I would still view myself as a person who didn't have much luck in life and feel like things would never really get much better than they are. But after having a few nice wins it has made me realise that I can be lucky and maybe good things can happen to me.
I'm sorry if I tend to ramble on a bit but I find it almost therapeutic to talk to other compers and read about their wins, I find it inspiring!
Also, really need to save some money so it's wonderful to get some nice little gifts through the post and save at the same time. My Cocorose Foldable Ballet Pumps that I won arrived today & I love them!
They are red & black, really comfy and stylish & came with a little black bag to keep them in. I wouldn't have been able to justify spending out for them not when there's food and bills that need payng.

Comping started for just over a year ago when I was recovering from brain surgery. At that point I couldn't really walk, never mind get out of the house, so it was a great distraction. Not only entering the competitions (and imagining my wins!) but reading about everybody else's wins keeps me motivated and extremely happy for people. I love that comping gives people the opportunity to win things they would normally not have access to.
It also helped me look towards the future with a 'if we win this holiday, it'll give me motivation to get better for it'. I got a few prizes along the way, which helped keep my spirits up. We were also able to give some prizes we won as xmas/birthday presents, saving us lots of money which, as we were down to one salary, really helped.
Now I'm hoping to get back to some form of activity this Autumn, but I'll still keep up comping, it's become part of my life!
Thanks to everyone who posts, thanks or shares their lovely wins, you're all fab!2019: £16.98 Cuteito, book
