in Credit cards
Hi all,
I’m new to the forum, so please be gentle.
I was hoping that someone in the know could point me in the right direction regarding getting a new credit card for taking on my upcoming holiday (a med cruise).
I was planning on going for a card with 0% on new purchases over as long a period as possible, however a friend has informed me that many of these cards will charge for making purchases outwith the UK.
On hearing this I considered applying for the Post Office card as that states that zero charges will be made, but this only has a 3 month 0% interest on new purchases and from the information detailed in another thread you can’t repay via the internet or over the phone.
I currently don’t have a balance on any other cards, so any balance transfer percentages is not an issue. Could someone please recommend a card that would suit my requirements?
Thanks

I was asking for a card that didn't charge for use in Europe and has a period of intrest free spending
I'm not sure if I'm asking for to much from the one card.0 -
Nationwide don't charge for using a credit card in Europe and you can pay it on line. I think they've currently got an 18 month interest free period.

Thanks
I'll give that one a look0 -
For anyone looking in.
In order to recieve the 0% interest you are required to have a Nationwide account.
I think I'm just going to go with the Post Office card as this seems to be the only one that offers what I'm looking for.
Thanks again for the help.0
