What is the safest card to use online?

Options
I recently had my Tesco CC used fraudulently to buy over £1000 of insurance. It’s currently in hand to have the money refunded to me, although I've not receivedthe paperwork to sign and send back. Need to chase them up to find out what’sgoing on. Anyone else had experience of dealing with the Tesco CC fraud team? Are they good or do you have to chase up constantly?

Anyway, this got me thinking. Is there a credit card available that is moresecure that the usual lot to use online?

I kind of remember someone telling be about a card that you can use togenerate unique card numbers that match to a payment amount so that it couldonly be used once. I've tried googling but not coming up with much. Any advice appreciated.

At the end of the day, aren't they all as safe as each other?

I guess the main variable is how good the customer service is, to help you resolve your problem, as most cards are either Visa or Mastercard?
