US Dollars or East Caribbean Dollar

Hi,
I'm going to Antigua tomorrow and wondered what is best to take. Not many exchange places seem to do East Caribbean Dollars so am thinking to take US dollars instead.
Is there any benefit in taking East Caribbean Dollar or will I be ok with USD?

I visited Antigua in January as part of a cruise. The only currency available on the cruise was US$, every island I stopped at seemed happy enough to accept them!0

Didn't have a problem with £s or my Nationwide card.0
