Hope someone can advise me abuot this, Sorry it may be long!
I have a ford ka, it was off the road for a while before I had it.
Anyway after I bought it had problem with battery warning light coming on. It had a new battery, new alternator etc and still battery light came on then engine warning light came on.
It was found to need the ecu remapping which was done in oct last year.
Has been fine since then. No lights on etc
However today the battery warning light has come on, keeps going on and off and just now temp warning light came on and went off
Starting and driving fine, have checked water level and thats fine too.
Worried it may be the ecu again as it was very expensive last time.
Dont want to drive it incase I do any damage. Any ideas??

Could be the fan belt. The fan belt on many cars drives the alternator and the water pump. If it was slack or broken, you'd get the faults you're seeing.
I take it this is a not well serviced car?0 -
Its not been seviced since Oct last year when it was in garage for the work on ecu etc.
Will have to call in at garage to see what they say. just worried about it being the ecu again.
Thanks
Is it a expensive repair if it is the fan belt?0 -
asking a specific car related question without putting year make engine is the equivalent of asking what time was the last dodo shot to the second and what bullet type was it
your car might have smart charge but who knows we dont have a crystal ball0 -
