B Legal Solicitors

Don't ever, ever, ever, use them for any conveyancing work.

If your financial adviser in Countrywide advises you of them as a solicitor, say no, immediately! They really are the biggest waste of space.

We’re selling our Shared Ownership flat to a nice couple who we’ve been speaking too, they’re using B Legal. After asking for numerous documentation about fixtures and fittings and other things, they finally said that they were ready to exchange but had a couple of further questions.

1. Has the property been built yet
2. Is the property currently lived in

It’s unfair to the conveyancing trade that companies like this exist, because they really are terrible, it’s a call centre using a computer package that has tick boxes that won’t let you proceed without the information even though its known.

Anyone else had bad experiences? They really are bad.

We were badgered to use them by the ea (Burchell Edwards, part of Connells) that we were buying from.
In particular "because the seller is using them too, therefore would speed up the process"!
That made us want to use someone else straight away. Wouldnt have felt comfortable with the same firm doing the selling and buying.

We've just last week completed on the purchase with our own soliucitor. He had no end of trouble with them asking bizarre questions and not being able to speak to the same person more than once. It really is a call centre full off conveyencing "executives" who just tick boxes!
