Closing CitiBank account - did they offer anything?

I know that a lot of people closed their CitiBank accounts because of the fees they introduced.
Did CitiBank try to keep you, and offer you something?
Which account were you closing — USD, EUR or GBP?

I closed all three.
They offered me a cheque for the balances and their best wishes for the future.43580 -
No nothing for me, was not expecting anything the accounts have been dormant for several years with a pound in them. Just closed them in the last 6 months, no point having them really.0

My experience, as a fairly regular switcher of financial institutions is that none of them made any attempt at all to retain my business. Closing my santander credit card was even all done by the IVR without even talking to a human being!0

Thanks all!
Good to know.
They didn't offer me anything either. Good riddance though because their customer service sucked. And to have to pay for that...0
