Bambi camper insurance?

Wondered if any one could help?
We have just bought a Bedford Bambi camper, but having problems with insurance.
The problem seems to be because I am 78, I'm too old.
One solution seems to be putting it in my wife's name (she's younger than me) and adding me as named driver.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Have you tried a company called Caravan Guard, who will apparently quote up to 81 years of age.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    Thank you bb2611 and huckster.
I tried Caravan Guard, they would insure me but £424 a year.
Have found it best to insure in my wife's name and I am a named driver.
    In case it helps someone,
www.adrianflux.co.uk quoted £156 (classic vehicle as camper over 20 years old)
2getherinsurance.com a little more expensive at £175 but far better cover
    Once again thank you
