Building shelves from bookcases

Hi

First time poster so be gentle with me if its in the wrong place or a daft question.

I have 4 book cases in my front room all full with books

I had this bright idea of taking them apart and putting them in my alcoves as shelves

Anyone think this WOULDN'T work? or any suggestions as to a better idea for cheap shelving?

I'm attempting to make my front room a little tidier!

thanks

susan

Can't you move one or more of the bookcases into the alcoves?
    Or are they too big?

    hiya

yeah i've done that, but i've still got 2 others clogging up the room.

I'd love to have floor to ceiling shelves, (they SHOULD all fit on them).

Perhaps you need to sell a few books on Ebay?
