Afternoon Tea at The Ritz

Hi,
I was thinking of treating my mum and dad for their golden wedding anniversary and just wondered if anyone knows of any deals out there?
Lastminute are charging £97 for 2 but do any of you clever MSE forumites know of any better deals.
Many thanks

Ah! A friend was talking about this a while back, I think you can get it much cheaper at Buyagift Harrods is only £60 for two.

You can also get a 20% discount with Buyagift here

Is that price for a champagne tea or just the standard one? If it's the standard one then it's cheaper to book direct with The Ritz as it's only £42 per person.

Btw - I can highly recommend it - I got taken for my 40th last year and it was fantastic!

I thought the £97 sounded steep, maybe it is the Champagne tea?
Still it sounds like a really good present.
  • not been to the ritz(would love to go) but had afternoon tea at harrods couple of weeks ago and was excellent, was purchased through buyagift and very simple to use

They even offer you more sandwiches etc and more than happy with refills for the tea

I saw this on the telly in the past 2 days.... looking back. In 1981 it was £4.50 (presumably each).

For the money .... I'd prefer to have homemade afternoon tea, on a small boat/punt while being conveyed by some sweaty boatman.... unless it rains of course.

I envy you, my friend was going to take me there for my 40th, but unfortunatly it never came off, I took her on the Orient Express for her 40th. we did the Christmas meal, highly recommend it.

The Ritz looks lovely, def agree about looking direct, as there are different levels of afternoon tea. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
