parking eye - i have my proof but co.car

have logged on to my company emails and have been told i have a parking charge from the crowne wharf shopping centre walsall for not having a valid ticke? Th eexact wording "on x date vechile reg entered the crown wharf shopping centre car park at 13:20:56 and departed at 15:17:20 on 26 may 2012. The signage, which is clearly displayed at the entrance to and thorughout the car park, states that this is private land, is operated by ParkingEye Ltd as a pay and display car park, what pay and dispaly tarrifs apply and teh parking charge applicable where the appropraite tarrif is not paid when parking, along with other terms and conditions of teh car park by which those who park int he car park agrre to be bound. By either not purchasing a valid pay and dispaly ticket or by remaing at the car park for longer than was made permitted, in accordance with the terms and condiotns set out in the signage, the parking charge detailed below is now payable by the driver.£50 if paid in the next few day, the £80 plus £30 admin fee =£110. ".

It also has the same pictures of me entering and leaving. the photos state i arrived at 13.20:26 and left at 15.17:20. I remeber this day clearly as i was going shopping to get stuff for my holiday the next day and it was a very hot day. I was rustling around for change in my purse and in the car as i had been to several other shopping centres just taht morning as it was a last minute holiday! I still have my parking ticket - Issue time on my ticket i purchased is 13:26 and is valid to 15:26. So why o why have i got a parking ticket and a,m being asked to pay £50 int he next few days or else? the problem is this....It is a company car and tehy will be charging an admin fee of £5 on top - money is already too tight to mention post holiday. If i choose to appeal and it is not successfull it says the fine will rise to £80 plus £30 admin fee =£110 plus the companys £5 admin fee whish will be taken from me. What on earth am i meant to do? if it was my own car i would ignore it but its not and dont want to get in trouble with my company....feeling very very worried and dont want to upset those in teh company. dont no what to do. dont want to pay a fine for no reason either. my ticket clearly shows teh time anad has my reg also typed in tehre as you have to have it liek that when paying the fee. I paid £1.40 (up to 2 hours. what have i done wrong???:(

First of all explain to your company that this parking company have no legal power to fine you whatsoever. Then tell them to name you as the driver so you will receive the subsequent threatograms. Then ignore them. Keep the ticket you purchased safe just in case they do take you to court (which is unlikely).

You don't owe them a penny! But make sure you impress upon your company not to pay this unenforceable ticket under any circumstances.

You have a ticket for parking so there is no loss to parking eye so they will not go to court. The problem is your company and the leasing company that is probably behind the company. You need dig out your company handbook and ask them for a copy of the lease agreement if the company don't own the vehicle. Probably both will mention penalty notices and fines only.

This is neither it's just a speculative invoice for the driver only, you should inform your company to pass on your contact details to the parking company as its not their responsibility to get into a civil matter between you and the parking company. The theory is that they then contact you directly to which you ignore their demands. The reality is though that they could go back to them if they get nothing from you.

You need to be proactive with your employers, are they a large company or can you speak to your boss about this ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

  • i have just been notified by my car lease company that a charge has been received as I over stayed the 2 hour limit at Gordano services on the M5 at Bristol.

The day was saturday 2nd June and as anyone who was in the area at the time will know the roads were gridlocked to such an extent that I could not get out of the car park for three hours! Nothing was moving.

I have taken the good advice in this thread and advised the leasing company to pass on my contact details and not to get involved as this is not a fine or valid parking fine
