  • Dear all

I would not bother, I order £22 of stuff and it is rubbish quality in the main

    1. umbrellas £1.29 - really never worth £12
    2. Flannels - small and really worth only 30p
    3. tote bags £1 in sale - worth £1 but small can fit a magazine in
    4. 50p pens - picture looks like they are tiny and you get the box but you get a really cheap and nasty pen that you would never pay more than 50p for at top price

    Good things worth buying
25p napkins - cupcake ones - good quality
    10p incense sticks
    £1 tubs of colouring pencils
30p grow a venus fly trap or sunflower - although again it looks like you get two and you only get one.

bit disappointed as you can see.
Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 2016
  • I ordered the umbrellas, I think they are brilliant quality and great value for money. I also ordered some spotty lunchboxes, pencils, rubbers and some stickers. Loved everything I ordered.

Sorry to anyone disappointed with their purchases.

I placed 3 orders. Some of the sale stuff definitely wasn't worth full price but everything I ordered was great value at the prices I paid and I'm pleased with all of it. I was especially pleased with the bunting, recycled bags and herb tins and would've happily paid full price for them. I bought a couple of non-sale items and was just as pleased with them.

For anyone who loves this site as much as I do, keep an eye out for their "Deal of The Week" offers. I'm not sure if they'll have another sale until January....not sure I can wait til then though!

I got the jewelled pens and they're really cute. They've gone into the christmas box with the flannels.

The sunflower tins are back up to £3 ... I ordered 22 and they sent me the box with 2 taken out, so I have 11 of each. The display box looks good, so I'll use it at the party and they can grab one when they pick up the party bag.

They're excellent for 30p each. There's no best before date on them.

I'm really pleased with my order. My teenager loved the dragon's blood incense and his friends are having the fairy dreams. I'm keeping the white sage :) I ordered a few boxes, as they were only 10p each. Back up to £1 now.

The only thing that I thought was only worth the sale price was a pair of earrings - everything else I'd have happily paid more than sale price for if I'd seen it in a shop, so I'm really pleased with my order and will probably order again.

Do the tins say when the seeds should be planted? I am wondering if it's too late for sunflowers, am hoping to put them in party bags this month.

As far as I can tell, the tins don't say when the seeds should be planted. The venus fly traps can be planted anytime if they're going to be kept indoors. The sunflowers will struggle being planted this late in the year. Plants know when to grow by how many hours sunlight there are, so by end of september there won't be enough sunlight to grow properly. I'd put a note in with those suggesting to wait until next April/May. However, if it were my kids there's no way they'd wait that long! :rotfl:

Hurray! My order arrived today. I think it was worth what I paid, and most items I was very happy with but felt that the party cones were wildly overpriced before the reduction but acceptable after the price reduction, much, much smaller than expected but very happy with the napkins, ribbons, sunflower cans, sewing set and buttons set.

I will be ordering from this website again :)
