Is there any help I am entitled to?

Thanks all for your replies. I am able to bend enough to sit down etc but can't get down to the floor. With the bath I am more comfortable in the bath than anywhere else - I think the water is relaxing things a bit, I am going to the local gym under a fitness referral from the doctor purely to walk around in the water to try and strengthen my knee by walking around.
I am awaiting another MRI and have an interview coming up for a fulltime office role so hopefully this will help if I get it. I have had cortisone injections in the past and they didn't work they just aggravated my knee and so I can't have them again. I need to be alert in my role (it's on a hospital ward) and so stronger painkillers would possibly make me more drowsy but I shall take your advice and go back to GP to ask if theres any non drowsy meds I can take. I won't bother appyling for any benefits - I'm sure theres plenty of people out there more deserving than me.
Just wish something could be done as at the moment I am reliant on my husband to go anywhere thats too far to walk or over a 10 minute drive. Thanks again0
