congrats and best wishes
Your name is the brand that people are familar with and trust, so not too sure if there is a need to change it.
I'd agree with that to a point, but I also think despite ML being a well known 'brand' the working title sounds too formal to attract a big audience. It's no good if the show only appeals to people who know the brand already, we're already on the website getting the information. The show needs to appeal to people who don't know the brand yet as well, to get them started and get them wanting to find out and do more by visiting the site and other alternate sources. As it is I think the working title makes it sound a bit stuffy and more like it's going to be ITV's version of the Money Programme, which is/was more big business reporting than consumer oriented.
The more simple "Martin's Money Show" would give a more accurate impression of the nature of the programme and help get viewers. It still looks too much like an alternate title ITV have to use for their version of The Money Programme due to copyright, that might be because it's already in my head from looking at the longer working title though.
NB: I've already gone through and deleted the last email, but if we're talking about extending the 'brand' don't they come through with the subject line as "Martin's money tips" rather than Martin Lewis or MSE? (I might be wrong because I don't pay that much attention to the subject line, I just open the email and go through it)0 -
21 minutes of material? with all the repetitions of what you will see after the ads, and then being told again what you have seen before the ads, more like only 15 minutes of real material needed! :rotfl::rotfl:
Shame it's on itv! It's such a rubbish, dumbed down channel, with little to challenge the brain!...
But ITV has adverts which pays for a lot of things ... Advertising is the reverse of affiliate links after all. Someone has to maintain Millionaire Martin in the lifestyle he has becoming accustomed to!............... Have you ever wondered what
¦OO¬¬ O[]¦ Martin would look like

Brilliant, a prime time slot will reach people (like my son - "who's Martin Lewis? Never heard of him"!!!) that are still unaware of the concept of money saving. Well done ITV, and good luck Martin.
I agree that Martin’s Money Show sounds better, the other title sounds a bit too BBC to me.0 -
There’ll be more than one topic a show, likely to be a hard money subject like Premium Bonds, student finance or tax credits, then one soft money topic such as reclaiming lost Tesco points.
It's about time we see some support from Martin for many of those who support the mse website, ie those on truly low incomes, so more help with advice on benefits, tax credits, income tax, wouldn't go amiss. It's all very well appearing on tv with advice on holiday money, ( such as gmtv, this week.) Maybe i miss the appearances appertaining to someone in my situation?
Maybe a programme dedicated to those who aren't working, who still have debts and have to make the most of their money in less conventional ways?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
free from life wannabe

I'm sure that the program could be enlivened by topical guest celebrities. You could have Jimmy Carr on tax issues. David Cameron/ Nick Clegg on tax havens and business. Why not get the financial ombudsman etc ...
I suspect that banks /insurance companies will be falling over themselves to get on the show and shine a positive light.

may be we should have a link somewhere here >>> on the side panel to these programme so that some, the uncultured anarchist
kind ('course not me) who don't watch tv and yet like to watch this programme can click and go
also a blog, to make requests for a topic they would like to see0 -
All you need is Radio 5 Live for Martins consumer tips.:DThat gum you like is coming back in style.0

This is great news...
Would you consider doing an item about the mistreatment of people who do not need a TV licence?0 -
Anyone moving to ITV finds themselves in the twilight zone, ITV only ever had one decent programme that was set in Manchester, and that is a shadow of its former self.
ITV the station with the antimidas touch! Childs and Bleakley say no more.
ITV makes some great shows like Doc Martin, Benidorm, Downton Abbey etc etc.
No give me a free ITV over the BBC any day0
