I am in the fortunate position to be looking for commercial premises..having bought and sold my homes via residential estate agents in the past, Ithought they were a bread apart.. in that the services levels they gave were bestranked as ok to middling..

To all those dealing with residential estate agents.. youhave it made… as the commercial agencies I am dealing with are appalling.. Theyare truly bad…

Property one : visit with agent to find roof collapsed.. “notbeen here a while”.. “we will get it fixed”.. he says… (Then tells me thatexternal maintenance is excluded from the lease and I will be responsible forbuilding fabric…. Yeah right.. its falling down…! )

Property two: looks like a squat… walked from there…

Property three: ok. This one looks good. Agent made somenice comments on viewing, regarding re-decoration.. and some modifications.. since viewing have spent two weeks trying toget hold of him to confirm these changes and costs.. no reply to emails andtelephone messages…. Guess they do not want to let it after all….

Property four: tenant in place… and despite arrangingviewing week in advance, and receiving a number of confirmation calls prior tothe visit from agent.. arrived to find a tenant who had not been told of myvisit or was expecting me.. (give him his dues he did show me around).. unfortunately not for me..

Prime location: submitted a number of enquires through thiswebsite.. not one person replied to my request to be contacted for viewings orfurther details. Not going back there…

Rightmove: a bit better, a number of emails back from someagencies.. but despite asking specific questions about the units, their locationsand facilities, the agencies believe these are best answered by sending me the RightMove Link!!!!.. if the answers were there why would I ask the questions!!!!

So this morning called three more agencies.. people I needto speak to are on the phone.. ok.. they will call me back.. four hours later no calls…. I guess they arestill on the phone!!!!...


Sorry had to vent…
