Zooplus have a few various products on their website I think. No personal experience though (not sure a 40kg GSD would fit in a bike basket...)0

We got one of these, complete with the wire lid a couple of years ago for our long-legged Jack Russell. You'll also need to get a set of panniers if you don't already have them. We picked the rear mounted one as we thought if she moved around on a handle-bar mounted version you might end up with a steering problem!
We put a blanket in the bottom so it wasn't slippy, and clicker trained her to get in from a wall - ie bike against lowish wall so doglet could get in herself. Once she'd sorted it herself she was fine with being lifted in.
Tilly's quite excitable, but deals with the basket fine, just the odd change of direction to change the view, which is a bit wobbly but you get used to it.
