Can I use dryer part of washer-dryer without water supply

Hi,
I've had to replace my washer-dryer because it is leaking. I've splashed out on a Miele washing machine but can't afford a new dryer at the moment. Is it possible to use the dryer function of the old machine without having plumbing. I can get the waster pipe into a drain but won't have a dedicated water inlet supply.
Any ideas??

Washer-Dryers are unvented so rely on a stream of cold water to condense the steam in the drum.
If the dryer is next to the new washer, then use a splitter to connect to the existing water supply
Google 'washing machine Y piece'
If not, then attach a hozelock style tap connector to the dryer inlet and connect to your hosepipe when you need to use the dryer0
