The final but more unpleasant threats usually include mentioning that, if the case goes to court, a county court judgement (CCJ) will be issued, that bailiffs will be appointed and that your credit rating will be ruined. For things to actually get to this stage, the car park owner would have to take you to court and win the case. Then, you would have to refuse to pay, to get a CCJ issued after 28 days. Then, you would have to still refuse to pay, to get bailiffs appointed.

Continue to ignore everything you get from the PPC and their pet debt collector and solicitor. Soon, they will run out of empty threats and stop throwing good money after bad.

Get hold of the letter templates as posted above, print the correct ones off and show them to your employers they can then play snap with them as they arrive.

If management are aware of the scam, then thats a few more people who have been alerted to the ppc problem, if you can try and make sure that they also let anyone else that they deal with know about this, weather it be other company's they deal with, or just friends down the pub - spread the word.

Thank you everybody for your advice with this.

I've today received a letter from a company called Zenith Collection, which was titled "Notice of Intention to Commence Legal Proceedings". The letter states that they've been instructed by their client, CPS Midlands, to deal with the contravention and that despite their offer for reduced payment to settle the account (which we have never actually been offered) we have still not paid.

Should I continue to ignore or is this a more serious letter? Does anybody have any experience with Zenith Collections, particularly in conjuction with CPS Midlands?

I'm sure Zenith letters are shown in the second-to-top thread, in pictures.

Look for any PPC listed there that uses Debt Recovery Plus letters, then you will see Zenith letters there because they are just a trading name of DRP.

You are near the end of the scam now. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
