May the best house win

Options
Why are itv giving away £1000 to the best house on may the best win if the people can afford to do their house up like a palace. Maybe they should be looking at houses like mine that could do with £1000 to do it up.
Rant over.

You must have seen a different episode than me. The one I saw the houses could do with some money spent on them.

I seem to recall a program a few years ago called something along the lines of 'Britains most astoundingly dangerous driver' or something similar, involving Quentin Wilson and a selection of cack handed berks who had apparently passed a driving test but were unable to display any level of ability to actually drive a car.

The program consisted of them being put through their paces - driving a van around a basic obstacle course, doing a 3 point turn and the like and we all watched in horror as cardboard pedestrians bounced off bonnets and 3 point turns became 400 point turns with screaming and broken lights.....and after all this, the worst driver who had apparently improved the most (ie was still a f*****g awful driver, but marginally less awful than before) was given a brand new car. A Jaguar I think. Even Quentin Wilson looked a little queasy at the injustice of it all.

Sheesh! it's a daytime TV program. Add to the mix that it's ITV churning out yet another so-called "reality" TV to the lowest common denominator of British society and any connection to the real world (tm) goes flying out of the window (that's the bay window with curtains in a fetching shade of puce*).

All TVs come with a remote to change channels or even switch it off.:)

they have to find some way of differentiating this programme from the myriad of near identical programmes being pumped out over the airwaves. It's just a campaign to force the jobless back to work

There are plenty of programs for those whose homes need a bit of TLC - 60 Minute Makeover, Help My House is Falling Down, 2 Lazy 2 DIY, etc.
Apply to go on one of those.
