Have really enjoyed reading all the things that you guys are doing, I hope you don't mind me posting.

Today I did something that was actually pretty big for me. I cancelled the standing order from my current account to my savings account. I save every month for those BIG things that you might need to pay for, like car maintenance, or a new boiler, or a holiday :o (oops).

Today I realised (and boy has it taken a while to accept it), that these savings are false. They aren't savings because I am going deeper into the overdraft each month to put money in the savings account.

So I cancelled the savings account standing order. THEN I transferred the balance of the savings account (£700) BACK into my current account. Once it has cleared I will make an additional payment onto my credit card as that is the highest interest rate debt.

    Go me!!:T
