Can a job offer affect my redundancy payment?

From what you say in your opening post, you are on 30 days notice. This is not your redundancy, but the stat. min. consultation period in which the company has to work with their employees to see if there is a solution to avoid redundancies and also for the employer to decide who, if anyone, gets laid-off.
It is after this period that the employer will decide when to terminate each unlucky person's position and how. They may decide that you are not going to go. However, if they decide you are one of the unlucky ones, then they may simply give you PILON instead of asking you to work your notice. This would suite you as you could leave your job on Friday and start a new one on Monday and there would be nothing they could do about it.
As you are under threat of redundancy you are entitled to look for work elsewhere and attend interviews etc. just don't let them know you have an offer.Never Knowingly Understood.

A difficult one. Are you 'at risk of redundancy' and going through the consultation process, or has your redundancy been confirmed? If so, I can't imagine a reasonable employer would prevent you from taking up a new job, or withholding your redundancy pay. However, if you have a Union Rep, it'd be good to speak to them, or you could try the ACAS helpline, they are impartial, and whilst they will not commit to an opinion either way, they can advise you on the logical steps to take.0

If as you say, your new job starts after the redundany notice period ends then you dont have to say anything. Once that period ends it is noone elses business. Just say nothing to anyone
