Damp Room In my little girls room please help advise

Anyone know why a room would smell damp after a rain fall, I know that's an odd question but we have a damp smell which has returned again in my little girls room. Id Appreciate any help offered.

The radion vent is on the side of the semi detached house (while all others are on front or back), the chimley runs down (on the outside of the house) her bed room and is a staght tube no bends, the main bathroom next to her room (but we have he ensuite and no such smell in our room). her little brother is in the box room his room is smaller and they shear one internal wall and an external wall.

her room has a small window (which is oddly far left on the wall which has the said dividing wall which separates girls room from the little lads.

Id really like to go to the land lord with some evidence but he is not always a nice person,

one thing i think i did notice on the outside wall was a large possible wet patch with differed in color to the wall, im almost 80% that's the dampness causing it. Also every wall in the house seems to be drywall with a space in between the wall and the outside concrete wall. Im not a builder but i think i am mostly right in what i have described so far.

cheers in advance guys and girls

check the guttering / down pipes , if they are blocked with leaves/silt then water will overflow on to the walls , make sure the gutter joints are not dripping as well
