does any one have a HP pavilion G6 or similar?

Options
Hi

need a quick favour if any one has a HP G6 Pavilion laptop/notebook or similar.

need to know what it says in Device manager > Monitors...what info does it give?

you can access device manager via start, then in the search box type device manager, then once opened, expand on monitors and tell me what it says? does it give you a specific name and serial of a monitor/screen or what?

Thanks in advance... (need to find out if mines has a genuine screen or a generic one)

You can't find out if its a generic screen or a genuine one without removing the screen from the laptop. And even then it won't tell you unless you know the specific model number because there are basically 4 or 5 panel manufacturers in the world and most replacement ones are the same make as the one that was originally fitted. LG seem to be the most common.

There are no such things as cheap knock off screens.

Out of curiosity I did it on my G6, it just says Generic PnP Monitor.
