Not money saving but... break even anaylsis

Im trying to discuss the advantages and disadvantages but i cant really get my head around it, its too late to go to the library for books and i really want to get good bit done tonight because im working all day!
I have a basic grasp but not enough to write about it.
Can anyone suggest any sites or offer any help?
