HM Forces and drivers licence/insurance query

Hi folks, I'm currently a relatively new member of HM forces and i'll taking my new (first car) to my next training location. My drivers licence is addressed to my next of kins address where I resided before joining the forces. Should I change it to my training location? Bare in mind i'll only be at said locaton for x amount of months before moving on elsewhere.

Also, my new car is registered to my next of kins address, will my car insurance have to match this address? If so, will I be able to tell the insurer that the car will spend the majority of the time on a secured military camp and hence benefit from any discount from the vehicle being more secure at night etc?

Thanks

Your licence is fine at your next of kins address, you should inform you Insurers of your army base address.

The base will normally need to see your Insurance Certificate or a covernote if you want to store the car overnight on base
