Hi, I will be replacing shower with bath,
now we have CH towel rail 120x50cm
but this will not fit as the bathroom is pretty small,
+ in summer time is not in use, we have dawn flow heater as well for wehn our little one goes to bathroom ,
we will still keep the dawn flow, but we think we would do with towel rail, maybe electric one?
not sure about running costs, but it would be mainly to dry the towels in summer time, and hoping for warm up the bath in winter, the dimentions of the bath is 2 x 1.45 meters,
as for space saver rail I was looking for either http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150785618113?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQc9ljmbveXjrnQHjbMgY5W2lex2UiPgmOa_AaAGPz2-lJ2espxyQ
or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150790863601?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 41SnlEo2uoL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

but bit confused what are the main difference ? or maybe someone would suggest any alternatives?

and what would be best way to control them : timer?

thanks

I don't know what a dawn flow heater is?

The first one is only 40 watts so produces less heat than an old light bulb.

The second is 200 so produces a small amount of useful heat. But it is for Installation in a corner only is that ok?

Running costs a easy to work out, electricity is about 13p a unit a unit is 1 kilo watt hour. So a 200 watt appliance would use 1 unit every 5 hours. Or less than 3 p an hour.

You could control it with a timer.

You are coming at this from the wrong direction. You have to look at how many towels you use and then provide a solution for drying that number of towels and perhaps a bath mat.

I recently put in a 1800 x 600 22mm tubing model capable of handling 3 huge bath sheets and a bath mat at once. It works like a dream and the bathroom is very toasty !

i've never heard of this way of working out the heat output for a towel rail before :rotfl:

so what happens if you have a 4m x 5m bathroom but you live on your own do you only need a towel rail big enough for one towel but the bathroom is freezing cold cause the towel rail is the size of a postage stamp, your post did make me chuckle though.
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
