What are those green caterpillars eating all the leaves on my red currant bushes? How can I get rid? The poor currants are ripening nicely, but will have no chance without leaves surely...

Gooseberry Sawfly Caterpillars will strip the leaves in a trice, so use a spray as soon as spotted. I have also seen this pest on currants and you need to spray as soon as it is seen. Check the label on a spray to see if it works for caterpillars.
