Tomatoe plants

hi hoping to get some advice

Neighbours gone away and asked me to look after their tomatoes plants and some of the leaves are starting to turn black (but surrounded by green). Any suggestions? Weather's been very wet here, they're outside and in a draughty area - I'm hoping it's weather affected not me doing something wrong.

Any suggestions please? I don't know how to upload pictures sorry before someone suggests that.

If you are saying the leaves have black/brown spots then i would take a stab its early leaf blight.

Its possible but not probable its phosphorus (add phosphorus feed) or magnesium deficiency (add epsom salts). .

I asked a neighbour afterwards and both of us are as bad as each other! My dad was the gardening person whom everyone in street went to ask for help, but unfortunately he died in 2010 so I can't ask him.

I googled leaf blight after your suggestion and a photo leaf spot came up and it looks like that. I did give them a feed of tomorite (with seaweed) yesterday, and I'm intending to go and see a garden nursery dad did some work for to see what they suggest - and take a leaf with me.

I've managed to keep Dad's garden going quite well but the fruit / veg knowledge is lagging a bit! His tomatoes were normally kept in the greenhouse and I lived away for the last 4 years, and wasn't into gardening before I left, as he wouldn't allow anyone to touch his garden.
