You need to devote consistent time and effort for a number of years if its larger incomes you want, if its just an additional £100 or so a month you want you should be able to achieve that by finding regular customers for the products your Company retail, thats why its important to find a Company whose products appeal to you and ones you are happy sharing with people in a way that you feel comfortable doing, if its a residual income you want i would suggest you need to treat the Opportunity as though you have invested all your life savings into it and be prepared to work hard consistently for between 5 and 10 years, so many people join and play half heartedly with it and then wonder why they don't earn what they want. Anyone worried about an hourly rate shouldn't join as until you have found a regular customer base your hourly rate is going to be very low but you need to be able to see 3-6 months down the line when you have regular customers and perhaps the start of a team too.
I see it as working harder than most people for 5-10 years but then if all goes to plan to be able to play more than most people. I think people find it hard to see that far ahead and want to see instant results (you do have to make scarifices too, spend the time you would perhaps watch TV or go down the pub etc building/working it), it just doesn't happen like that in MLM/NW you also need to understand what residual income is. Someone once likened building a NM Business to pushing a snowball up a hill, sometimes it slips back, its hard work pushing it up but once you get it to the top watch it go down the other side with no input from you, i do think the 3-5 year plan as it used to be promoted is perhaps a bit out of date in most cases and is based on an ideal situation that everyone you recruit is going to start recruiting regularly.
I know where i am heading and NW/MLM is the only way i am likely to succeed getting there and i'm loving it.
